How The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CHMC) Works ...

CMHC is Canada's largest mortgage insurer in Canada and one of the largest Canadian companies in general.

The federal government mandates that CMHC to build political support housing market in Canada. However, with prices coming home high, these policies have been largely under the media microscope.

Most journalists to analyze the insurance market by default with the best intentions. Due to a lack of publicly available facts, however, it became increasingly common for media to distort certain policies.Recent histories of the National Post and the Globe has submitted applications to the industry that has left readers with a variety of questions unanswered. It seems logical (to us) to directly contact the CMHC, ask these questions, and clarify the source.

The main objective was to learn about what happens behind the scenes of mortgage insurance, and share what we learned. Ultimately, the information after we have given a much better sense of how policies in the housing market impact insurer in Canada.

En route, we had the chance to talk with Pierre Serre.Pierre CMHC is vice president of insurance products and business development. Below you will find the interview we did with Peter, sprinkled with "(the stuff in italics) that we have gathered throughout our research.

CMT: Peter, I want to thank you for taking a moment to be with us. To begin with, can you tell us what percentage of mortgage loans are currently insured in Canada?

Peter: At the end of 2008, the percentage of insured mortgage loans outstanding, compared to residential mortgage loans in progress, has been estimated at 68%.

CMT: The securitization was essential to survival of non-bank lender in 2009, we will then deal with this for a while. If Canada does not have the Canada Mortgage Bonds and Insured Mortgage purchase programs, what impact could it have been on the Canadian housing prices, interest rates and viability lender during the credit crunch ?...

Victor Wong was 12 when his mother enrolled him and his two brothers to Lok's Martial Arts Center in Richmond, BC A registration requirement is a sign that the mother of boys "conditions of membership and Landfill. Wong, now 20, alleges that during a sparring match at the Center, he was thrown violently to the ground, fracturing his arm and leaving him partially disabled.He is now suing the school, the training partner and owner of the school, Michael Lok.

The defense argued that the claim should be dismissed because of Wong's mother signed the discharge when it began. Wong said he did not sign a waiver of his legal rights and did not allow his mother to relinquish all claims on his behalf.
